2 Month Wellness Check--1 Month Late

LL had her 2 month wellness check-up today.  Well she's actually 3 months but our last ped kept canceling on us so we decided to switch-a-roo the ole doctor.  This was her first visit to her new doc and she was all giggles & smiles...until....those stupid shots arrived.  I hate it when she cry-cries because then Mama cry-cries.  Other than that, she is up to 12 lbs and 23" long and she falls into the 50% range...whatever that means.  She was born 6lb 4oz and 20" long.

Merry Christmas! 3 Months Today

Merry Christmas.  LL was up about 100 times last night.  I'm trying to put on a happy face but I am so freakin tired.  Today, I'm starting the annual tradition of making Christmas breakfast with this yummy Christmas Breakfast Casserole.  B is in charge of making sausage bread for every Thanksgiving. Oh, today's also LL 3 month birthday. :)

LL got some fun toys for her first Christmas!

I had to get this adorable Santa outfit at Target.  I couldn't resist!

Sleeping Regression.....ugh!

Ok..I wasn't prepared for this sleeping regression thing at all.  I figured my peaceful, easy baby who sleeps all night only to get up at 3am to eat would always be that way.  WRONG!  Growth spurt? I have no idea.  Teething?  Gas?  She turns 3 months tomorrow.

Puj Bath Seat

B and I bought the Puj Tub for LL and we're so glad we did. It's the perfect fit for our bathroom sink (no bending over the tub) and it unsnaps (with magnets) to unfold flat so you can store it flat. We actually just throw ours in the tub to dry after each use.
It has a hole at the bottom and two slits on the side so the water is draining constantly which is nice so the soapy water doesn't stay in the tub.  It's made with a medium-soft foam so it's comfortable for tiny tushes.

You can see the water draining at the bottom of this picture.
LL is almost 3 months and still fits nicely in the Puj. We'll do another update when she graduates to the big girl tub! I'm thinking of using one of these next!

InStep Safari Grand Jogging Stroller

Love, Love, LOVE this jogging stroller we purchased for LL.

We decided we needed a new stroller that wasn't so jarring on LL.  We were using the Snap N Go stroller frame with the Baby Trend Infant car seat but the poor girl was always waking up over every bump or crack we went over.  This one is perfect.  It has shock absorbency and nice size tires.  The seat adjusts almost all the way down for snoozing along with the cozy faux sheepskin lining.  And it even has a speaker in the canopy so you can easily listen to tunes with your ipod.  It's easy to fold up but just a tad bit heavy to lift in the car.  It got easier to lift after practicing a few times.  This stroller is also compatible with certain infant seats.  If I had know this, I would have started with this stroller first.

"I freaking love this stroller!"

Miracle Blanket

So, LL and I had our first play date today. We met up with some of my old teaching buddies.  LL slept the whole time but at least Mama got to get out and see other adult humans.  While there, my friend C asked if I could use this swaddle thingy that her kiddos had outgrown...the Miracle Blanket...a mini straight jacket for babies.  I immediately jumped on it.  LL has been breaking out of her blanket swaddle so I thought I'd give it a shot.  LOVE it.  Totally worth it.

Rock n Play Sleeper

LL loves this Rock N Play Sleeper.

This was gifted to us from the fab girls who threw me my baby shower. LL loves to sleep in it both day and night.  During the day, I move it out to the living room and at night I move it into our bedroom next to my side of the bed.  I swaddle her real tight using the Aden & Anais Swaddle Blankets and we she sleeps for long stretches at a time.  I'm convinced she loves the secure feeling it gives her.  Love it!
